The school day ends at 3:30 p.m. and unless students are participating in the Oasis after school program, they should be picked up no later than 3:40 p.m. Students arriving to school later than 8:00 a.m. are asked to check in at the main office. Where do I find Emergency School Closing Information?

If it is necessary for an early dismissal, it is suggested that parents discuss with their child:

  • The shortest walking route between home and school making sure that the child follows this exact route in an emergency situation.
  • What to do in the event no one is at home when he/she arrives

Bus students remain at school until they can be safely transported to their homes. Please do not call the schools when a storm is approaching. All schools are linked to an early warning system and are immediately aware of impending emergency situations. It is important that telephone lines be left open for urgent official calls.

Notice will also be posted on tv stations WNEM (CBS cable channel 7, TV 5) as well as TV 12, TV 25 and radio station WSGW (790 am, 100.5 fm) and their affiliates. Or check their website here.
