Student Services
Bay County Public School Academy features many programs to help students and their parents have the most convenient educational program available in Bay County. Some of the services we offer to families and students include:
- A Personalized Student Achievement Plan (PSAP) for each student, updated four times per year
- Reading, math, science, and social studies assistant for struggling students
- Accelerated learning opportunities
- After school tutoring two days per week
- Full time, on site counselor
- Conferences four times per year
- Special education resource room
- Music, art, and gym for all students
- Speech, social work, occupational and physical therapy services, and any other assistance a student may require ensuring success in school
- Before and after school child care in our OASIS program
Special Services
Bay County Public School Academy offers a special education resource room and is obligated by state and federal laws. Special education students have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) which is monitored regularly for progress toward goals.
A special education parent handbook will be provided to all parents whose child participates in the program. Please contact the school social worker, the special education teacher or CAO for further information.
Title 1 Services
Bay County Public School Academy is a School wide Title I school offering students additional time and instruction with highly trained teachers in the core academic areas. Title 1 monies may be used for teacher assistants, curriculum materials, computer programs, and professional development opportunities for teachers. The Title 1 program is available to eligible students in the kindergarten through 6th grade.
