Dress/Uniform Code
Bay County Public School Academy is a uniform school.
The CAO will make the final determination regarding appropriate
dress
and
uniform.
The following
uniform guidelines are to be followed:
Required:
- Dress shoes or tennis shoes, which are clean and in good
condition, may be worn.
- Socks are to be worn at all times.
- Male and female students
can wear navy or khaki uniform style slacks.
Navy or khaki
uniform style walking shorts may be worn when the temperature
is 65 degrees or higher. Girls may
wear navy or khaki skorts or skirts at appropriate length.
- Polo, oxford style
shirts and turtlenecks must be burgundy, navy blue, or white.
Logos other than Bay County
Public School Academy are not permitted.
- Belts
- Girls may wear navy or khaki skorts or skirts at appropriate
length. Girls may also wear our official school
jumper, or jumpers of solid blue or khaki color.
- On “Spirit Days” clean
jeans in good condition may be worn. Uniform shirts must be worn on these
days
unless otherwise
notified.
- Plain-colored sweatshirts
or sweaters of navy, white and burgundy are required as
cover-ups of polos and
oxford shirts. (For cold weather)
Recommended:
- Solid colored tights with dresses and skirts (for warmth).
- For safety reasons, dress shoes should have the appropriate
heel height.
- Separate shoes for physical education and inside wear.
Not Allowed:
- Tennis shoes may not have any lighting mechanisms on them.
- Cargo or bell-bottom pants are not permitted.
- Hats, unless on “Spirit Days.”
- Stripes, logos
or designs on shirts and polos.
- Sandals.
Uniform Compliance Procedures:
- Step One: Verbal reminder to student
- Step Two: Student lunch
detention
- Step Three: Letter sent to parent
- Step Four: Conference
with parent and student
